LOL! thats so funny that one of your favorite family meals originated as a MRE! your hubby is right about the cheese, especially the jalepeno kind, and i was an 88mike in the army national guard in virginia so obviously great minds think alike!

Im backpacking for a couple nights in the Grand Canyon. Any suggestions for some essentials from people who have been there. Im taking freeze dried food (like mre’s) but are there any other suggestions on what to take to eat? ANything in particular that I SHOULD never forget?
